Coping Mechanisms vs Defence Mechanisms
True or False:Trauma can be like a very tight slippery wetsuit on the skin and requires another person to help take it off.A disruptive personality disorder can be like a tight wetsuit under the skin and requires another person to help. But the assuming, destructive or malignant person (or both), has cut off the zip cord. The first question to note is 'why?'
----
The second hidden agenda is not invisible. (detached manipulation)
The person inside the mask persona is not invisible. (false self construct)
The person behind the person is not invisible. (triangulation)
The person using others to hide behind, is not invisible. (by proxy)If you require insight on a perpetrator, email a question.Gossip or smear. Is it a projection via a counter-narrative linked to a reality distortion? (Facades are formed from many). Created to avoid accountability at any cost, they know what they are doing with stimulation and need to lower others and deflect?Or, is there something else at play with ACE's and survival tools, how can it all be dismantled? What about genetics, justification and choices through a lens? How old are they? Ask the right question to see the real person. Start with what you see.

Authentic Emotional Connections vs Masked Assumed Social Norms | Bring new information into the Perception
One approach to processing external and internal feedback offers greater potential than the other for a number of reasons. The universally suggested approaches might not be understood at first for personal reasons. Step one isn't as liberating as reaching a required re-positioned, re-framed perception. Removing an abuser from an environment, living space, or headspace, considering what is a 'reality distortion' and what is truth or fact to connect and be grounded with.

"Teach how to identify/spot Malignant Social Engineering in behavioural patterns before something evolves to harm someone such as a victim or target. The worst kinds of damaging behaviour to peoples mental health can be long-term covert and hard to spot. Mental health can be harmed if an abuser assumes with 'reality distortions' and lies to serve a biased purpose of what is allowed and what isn't at the expense of others. This is regardless of their past experiences, genetic pre-curosrs, cultural influences, later life chosen foundation elements (facade) or development stage influences in their childhood. There is no justification for abuse projected or made physical. Coercive control is a crime; forms of social abuse are a crime. Boundaries are required with some people for a reason; they do 'not' identify them or can be annoyed to know they exist."
Emotional intelligence is the ability to understand, use, and manage your own emotions in positive ways. This includes communicating effectively, empathizing with others, overcoming challenges, and defusing conflict. Emotional intelligence helps you build stronger relationships, succeed at school and work, and achieve your career and personal goals. It's generally divided into four main skills: self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management.

SafeLives
Study
SafeLives is a UK Beacon for those who need help with various forms of abuse. Many types of abuse, not physical, are regarded as Psychological with a design to harm the victim and keep the abuser hidden in a cloak of deceptive actions and statements to maintain control over other people’s perceptions or narrative at any cost. Victims can be harmed inside and outside of a facade created by the psychological abuser.Follow the links to read the full articles - SafeLivesFHEHealth - When Is Lack of Empathy a Mental Health Concern?
"Brain scans and mirror neurons. Some understand, some don't."Psychology Today - The 12 Rules of a Dysfunctional Narcissistic Family
BPS - ‘Too much focus on trying to understand the narcissist is very much part of the problem’"Narcissistic abuse is known as 'invisible abuse'. There are no bruises or marks to see. It is subtle and progressive. People outside of the relationship may not suspect a thing. Abusers can be masterful in their manipulation of a situation or person to believe 'It's me and my fault', 'I'm the problem', 'I'm not good enough'. These are common core beliefs in action in abusive relationships. And to others, they can appear charming, caring and kind. With progressive coercive control and for example, the use of gaslighting, narcissistic individuals can manipulate a person into doubting as to whether what they are experiencing is even abuse. In extreme cases, people doubt their own sanity."“Well, I'm not sure it would be fair to say that men are more likely to be narcissistic abusers than women. I think that's another misconception about abuse. Both males and females can be narcissistic, and so both are certainly just as capable of being abusive. Narcissistic abuse is subtle. It's not physical.” - Dr Sarah Davies | Oct 2023
Choosing Therapy - 20 Examples of Gaslighting: Relationships, Parents, Friends, & Coworkers“Gaslighting is a form of psychological abuse where someone distorts reality to make others feel confused and question themselves. Gaslighting may include deliberate deceit, passive aggression, defensiveness, sarcasm, and undermining someone else’s experiences.”Choosing Therapy - 18 Signs of Toxic Parents & How to Deal With Them
“Abuse includes more than physical violence. Toxic parents may also be verbally abusive and/or emotionally abusive as a way to take power and control. Verbal and emotionally abusive parents belittle their children’s self-esteem by calling them names and purposefully embarrassing them in public.”“Toxic parents often prioritize their own needs, desires, and wants before those of their children. They may take care of their basic necessities first and address their children’s last.”Choosing Therapy - 15 Signs of Abusive Parents
“Toxic parents can resort to manipulation to get what they want from their children. They may use parental gaslighting to further create doubt in a child’s mind. “
